Who would have thought that a simply illustrated little pink pig and her friends would become so huge and capture the imagination of so many youngsters in the way that it has! Our Peppa Pig party range is certainly one of our best sellers, we regularly ship Peppa supplies all around the world!
Since she is such a popular character, a Peppa Pig party is a great theme for pre-schoolers as there are lots of ways to get creative and have fun with it. These are our favourite ideas for a really enjoyable Peppa Pig party:
Setting the scene
The colours in Peppa Pig cartoons are certainly part of its appeal, so choose party accessories in lovely shades of pink, lemon, green, blue and orange. Balloons and banners are so versatile and give instant impact, especially if you decorate the front door to greet guests as they arrive, and around the party table to really enhance all the delicious party food and treats. We have some lovely Peppa Pig bunting and foil balloons in our shop to add a sweet and stylish element
A Peppa Pig birthday cake would make a stunning table centrepiece and if you enjoy a bit of baking and cake decorating, it is not as difficult as you may think to create a Peppa Pig character to sit on the top. Check out our Peppa Pig Pinterest board for some step by step examples of how to make Peppa easily from coloured fondant icing.
You could invite guests to come dressed as their favourite character from Peppa Pig, or how about giving them some fun pig snouts to wear and play in when they arrive? They are easy to make from cardboard egg boxes, so could even be a great craft activity during the party, with everyone painting a section of egg carton in pink, then adding some elastic to fasten.
Fun & Games
One of Peppa’s favourite things is jumping in muddy puddles so you could make some brown fabric puddle shapes ready for a game of musical muddy puddles or to sit on during pass-the-parcel.
And how about playing pin the curly tail on the pig…
Rounding up pig balloons into a pen (great fun especially if the farmer keeps letting some escape!) and ‘feedingPeppa’ are two more ideas…
Keeping with the muddy theme, we like the idea of ‘mud puddings’ on the party table, or you could have fun with bottles of pretend ‘muddy water’ (apple juice) as well as tubs of healthy ‘Grandma Pig’s Fruit’ and check out these amazing pizza piggy buns – the recipe can be found here.
Party goers taking home a piece of birthday cake and some treats in a ‘loot’ bag is the perfect happy ending to a Peppa Pig party, so don’t forget we have these great party bags and fillers here in the shop…
