Are balloons eco friendly? Check out our plastic free event for the Body Shop
Plastic Free, Eco Friendly Balloons for the Body Shop!
Last week we were delighted to provide the decor for the Body Shop at Home’s annual event at Event City Manchester. We were excited to work with such an iconic brand, renowned for being cruelty free and environmentally responsible.
The brief was to deliver branded, plastic free, high impact decor to greet the thousands of guests arriving at the event.
Working directly with Qualatex we decided on 3ft giant natural latex balloons, screen printed with the event logo and branding. The balloons looked fantastic, the print area was huge so made a big impact and they were printed on both sides so look great from all angles.
Latex balloons are a natural, agricultural product, Qualatex are the leading balloon manufacturer and source the latex used to make their balloons from sustainable, Forestry Alliance certified plantations, making them the perfect choice for this event. If you are interested you can watch latex balloons being made in the video at the bottom of this blog.
We added a pop of fun and colour with handmade tassel tails in brand colours. We make our tails from recyclable tissue paper which is cut by hand and tied to satin ribbons so completely plastic free. The weights were small card boxes filled with gravel.
The balloons looked fantastic inflated and dressed with their tails, they were placed on registration tables and helped fill the huge space at Event City Manchester.
After the event all the materials used could either be recycled or would biodegrade over time. You can read more about latex balloons and the environment in our blog post Are balloons bad for the environment?
At The Party Co. we believe it is incredibly important to provide an environmentally responsible solution to event decor to our clients, if you would like to see how we can help you at your next event please get in touch.
