Due to a high level of orders we can no longer offer next day delivery, orders are currently being taken approx 1 week in advance. The earliest date available for delivery will show in the date selector when you place your order. We have good stock levels however there may be the odd occasion where we have to make a substitution in the colour of confetti, feather, tails etc or for foil balloon clusters the design maybe slightly different however the overall theme will be the same as ordered

Why we charge more than the Card Factory!

Why we charge more than the Card Factory - We may not be the cheapest but then the best never is..

A couple of things happened over the last couple of weeks that made me want to write this post.

On Friday we were out for a meal for my youngest daughter’s birthday, next to our table was a private room and there was a 60th birthday party taking place. I noticed straight away that the balloons on the tables looked very small (I am always noticing balloons, it’s an occupational hazard!). Within half an hour the balloons had started to dip and by the time the birthday girl arrived most were sat on the table, it was a very sorry sight. Now I am quite happy to be bold and say that this would NEVER happen with our balloons. Our balloons last for days and days, long after the party has finished.

Then earlier in the week we were asked to price a simple foil number balloon. We charge £9.99 for one number or £18.99 for two, this price was met with “I can get them for £7 at the Card Factory” and yes you absolutely can pick up a number foil on a weight for around that price. Our numbers however, are always personalised and finished with satin ribbons or a balloon collar or other such detail. This elevates them into something a little bit special, which after all, is surely the point of a birthday balloon?

A few days ago, we were quoting for some giant foil letters and the customer asked for a discount, now we do offer discounts in certain circumstances, however this was a fairly small job and therefore a discount was not applicable, but for some reason I crumbled and agreed. When I was preparing the order the next day I found myself reaching for the less expensive (and not so nice) balloon weights as I knew that the customer was not paying the usual price.

We always tape the tabs and valves on all our foil letters and numbers so they look as good as they possibly can, but on this job I found myself begrudging spending that extra time because I knew the price paid did not really cover that level of time and detail. So we ended up delivering a product that was not up to our usual standard, which is not something I ever want to do again. So I realised we need to stick to our pricing and deliver the best products that we can.

I guess the moral of these stories, as with most things in life, is you pay for what you get. I know if I was planning on having balloons at my wedding or child’s christening or birthday party, I would want to be confident that I was buying a quality product that would look great and last as long as possible.

When you choose the Party Company for your balloons you know you are getting the absolute best. The best quality products, experience, care, attention to detail, well thought out designs and colour schemes and a friendly, personal service.

We may not be the cheapest, but then we never wanted to be, we want to be the best at what we do and to deliver beautiful, personalised balloons to our customers, and that might come with a slightly higher price tag.

So if you would like contemporary, eye catching balloons that will make your event look fabulous, you know where to come! x

Hi I am looking into booking a party to celebrate my 40th in January 2019. I love your website and the type of look you can create however would need an idea of costs. I love the single very large balloons. Can you quote the cost of these as opposed to a cluster of 3 smaller ones for example. Many thanks

Hi Sadly our elderly mum died in her care home over the weekend and we wanted to send a big balloon surprise to her fantastic carers who are all locked down in the home in Westhoughton, unable to go home to their own loved ones for fear of infecting the residents who you can imagine are all old and very vulnerable like mum. We were thinking to send something with a big "THANK YOU" or "LOVE YOU ALL" or "STAY SAFE" on it...........and would prefer a BIG single balloon rather than a bouquet. The important thing is to make them smile and remember mum when they receive a lovely BIG gift box or delivery ! Am hoping that you have something nice to do the job ? Many thanks and much appreciated in these very difficult and sad times. Tony
